Terry spent 35 years on the inside of marketing — as a consultant, entrepreneur, small business coach, corporate marketer, three-time published textbook author, college professor, and as a founder of a business with a successful exit. That last part is the part most marketers can't claim. It's also the part that informs every framework Strategic Glue ships.

Selling a business teaches you a specific lesson: the marketing work that moves the needle every Monday morning is not always the marketing work that moves the needle at the negotiating table. Revenue quality matters. Brand awareness matters. Owner-dependency matters. But what a buyer pays a premium for is something different — a documented system that runs without you in the room.
